There is an enhance to moderate risk of severe weather that remains for central and southern Arkansas this afternoon into early this evening. Hail, wind, and a few tornadoes will be possible this afternoon as a potent storm system moves through the area. The threat for severe weather has ended much of the NW 1/3 of the state due to rainfall. The threat should end from west to east early this evening. After a nice Thursday, the same front lifts back as a warm front on late Friday with another round of thunderstorms likely. This will be followed by a cold front over the weekend with additional periods of showers and thunderstorms. Heavy rain will also be possible from Friday through Sunday and flooding will be a concern. Cooler air then moves in early next week.
