A warm, humid forecast and a real pattern shift is in store for Arkansas over the next few days with mainly afternoon thunderstorm chances and temperatures very near normal (low 90s). A few thunderstorms are possible in western Arkansas tonight, but I think most of us will stay dry. Most of the next 5 days should have relatively small, mainly afternoon chances for a few showers or storms. Sunday and Monday's chances are slightly higher for afternoon showers or storms. It's difficult to say about exact cloud cover for the eclipse next Monday, but partly to mostly cloudy skies are a pretty good bet. The next significant front should be moving down into the state Wednesday into early Thursday morning with some thunderstorms and then drier, more comfortable air for the latter part of next week!
