CABOT —
A Cabot middle school teacher facing charges of sexual assault made her initial court appearance Tuesday.
According to district officials, Stacy Stracener has been suspended from her job at Cabot Junior High North. Stracener faces 11 counts of first-degree Sexual Assault, and two counts of second-degree Sexual Assault for allegedly having inappropriate contact with a male student.
Stracener was arrested by Cabot police Monday afternoon.
Stracener entered a not-guilty plea in Lonoke County Circuit Court Tuesday morning, and was released after posting $25,000 bond.
The Cabot School District released a statement Tuesday morning, saying, "Any allegations involving improper conduct in our school system are investigated immediately, and appropriate corrective action is taken if proven to be accurate."
