UPDATE: Deputies identify 4-year-old boy killed by pit bulls in White County
WHITE COUNTY (KATV) - Dogs attacked and killed a four-year-old boy Friday afternoon.
The Levi Watson managed to get out of the home on Piker Road in Bradford and enter a fenced-in area where three pit bulls were being held just before 3:30 p.m. That's when he was attacked.
The four-year-old was transported to the White County Medical Center in Searcy, where he later died.
White County deputies took the three pit bulls from the home, according to Chief Deputy Phillip Miller. The dogs will be held until the investigation is done or 10 days - whichever is longer. The law requires dogs be quarantined for at least 10 days after biting a human.
Two adults were at home at the time - the boy's mother and the pet owner. No word if the adults will be charged with a crime or if the dogs will be euthanized.
