Hearth Healthy Recipe: Oatmeal Blueberry Cookies
NO-FAT OATMEAL BLUEBERRY COOKIES
1 Cup flour, whole wheat1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp salt1 tsp ground cinnamon1 cup dark brown sugar, packed 1/4 cup unsweetened applesauce4 tbsp Egg Beaters1 tsp vanilla extract1 1/3 cup oatmeal (old fashioned or quick-cooking)1 cup dried blueberries or raisins (or combination)
Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt and cinnamon. Separately, combine brown sugar, applesauce, Egg Beaters, and vanilla. Mix with electric mixer for 30 seconds. Stir in flour mixture. Add the oatmeal and berries, mix well. Drop by Rounded teaspoons onto cookie sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 11 minutes. (Makes 20 Cookies)50 Calories per cookie0 grams of fat12 grams of carbohydrates.
