Hope and Healing: Boy selling lemonade for beach trip gets big surprise
BRYANT (KATV) - A Bryant boy sold lemonade to raise money for a family vacation to the beach.
Gavin Hershbine, 12, was diagnosed with Nephrotic Syndrome, but instead of focusing on his many doctors visits and medical tests, he wanted to do something special for his family.
Hershbine raised $1100 with the help of the Bryant Fire Department and Bryant Police Department.
Marla Johnson and friends at Aristotle in Little Rock reached out to Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama Tourism, and Kaiser Realty by Wyndham Vacation Rentals to inform the companies of Hershbine's efforts. Gavin and his family were given an all expense paid trip to the beach.
