LITTLE ROCK (KATV) -
In May- his business had 82 complaints with the Arkansas Better Business Bureau over a 36 month period....and he pledged to do better.Six months later...is he?According to the Arkansas BBB the answer is...no.Nucold Refrigeration still has an "F" rating with the BBB and Jerry Collins now has 96 complaints filed against his business over the past 36 months. The latest customer with a complaint about RV Icebox...or RV Fridge House...comes from Oregon. Carmen Vonk of Silverton Oregon says she shipped a refrigerator core from her 1991 Pace Arrow to Arkansas on October 23rd. Vonk told us in a telephone interview that it was supposed to be back in time for a Thanksgiving trip. "Then he tells us one time that it got damaged in shipping and that he was rebuilding it," recalls Vonk. "We kept calling him and asking how that was going. That took awhile. And then a couple of weeks ago he said he shipped it. And we kept trying to get a tracking number and we still don't have it. So...he didn't ship it."We have visited with Jerry Collins before about complaints against his Morrilton business. This time he told us by phone that he couldn't fix the part in question and had put a refund check in the mail. Then he called back to say that no...his customer didn't want a refund...she wants the next working refrigerator coil that comes in. "I'm really particularly upset about this because it does feel to me like they shouldn't be allowed to be in business," says Vonk. "How is this possible?"Collins says he plans to email the Vonks daily to let them know if a core has come in or not and says the first suitable replacement he gets in will be shipped to them. The Vonks say that will be great....if it happens. Air date: December 15th, 2014
