Shame on Bourbon and Boots

A North Little Rock company has a damaged reputation.

Not only does "Bourbon and Boots" have an "F" rating with the Arkansas Better Business Bureau, a Facebook page has been created for unhappy customers. The Facebook page "Shame on Bourbon and Boots" allows both customers and vendors to vent about unpaid invoices and undelivered orders.

On behalf of Bourbon and Boots customers around the country, we went looking for answers to their questions.

The address for the company on Main Street in North Little Rock is no longer occupied. It's for lease and has been for months. The phone number listed on the company's website produced a similar result. A recording says the number is out of service.

According to the Arkansas Secretary of State, Rodney Ford of Little Rock started Bourbon and Boots in May 2015. The company's website features etched drinking glasses and other barware, as well as artisan crafted home decor -- all with a southern flavor and feel.

But not Southern hospitality. Or customer service.

In the past three years, 182 complaints have been filed against the company, resulting in an "F" rating from the Better Business Bureau.

"Shame on Bourbon and Boots" is a recently-launched Facebook page that features complaints against the company from around the country.

This week Seven-On-Your-Side received an email from a New York customer. Amanda Vredenburgh reports, "We never received our merchandise or a refund despite dozens of attempts to contact them."

Vredenburgh says she is out $86, but others claim to be out much more. If you don't pay your vendors, you can't fulfill your orders. Many believe that is where the problem lies.

Like many Bourbon and Boots customers, our attempt to contact the company by email has also, so far, been unsuccessful.
