(KATV)-Little Rock — Get ready to step into the world of high-flying flips, catchy cheers, and unbreakable bonds. The Argenta Community Theater is putting on an electrifying production of "Bring It On", with music from Hamilton’s Lin-Manuel Miranda and a cast of Arkansas’s top young talent.
Bridget Davis the Director of Education at ACT and Abbie Porter who plays the role of Ava and is a member of the theater’s pre-professional company joined Good Afternoon Arkansas to discuss the upcoming production.
While the movie primarily focuses on the competitive world of high school cheerleading, the musical expands on this premise by incorporating catchy song-and-dance numbers that delve deeper into the characters' emotions and motivations. The musical also offers a more theatrical exploration of themes like friendship, rivalry, and self-discovery.
On Wednesday, August 30th, there will be a preview performance. Opening night is Friday, September 1st and the show runs through September 9th.
