Lubavitch of Arkansas makes latkes for Chanukah

Rabbi Yosef and Mushka Kramer of Lubavitch of Arkansas were on Good Afternoon Arkansas Wednesday making traditional latkes to kick off Chanukah.

Chanukah begins the evening of Tuesday, Dec 12 and concludes the evening of Tues Dec 19th.

In Little Rock, Governor Asa Hutchinson will join them at the lighting of the second candle, at the Public Menorah lighting ceremony at the corner of Chenal and Bowman, in front of Centennial Bank, in west Little Rock on Wednesday, Dec 13th at 5:30 p.m.

Because oil features prominently in the miracle of Chanukah, it has become a Chanukah tradition to eat foods which have been fried in oil like the potato latkes, which they showed us how to make.

Using shredded potatoes, two eggs, salt, pepper.
