Man camping on Flag Island raises money for mentoring program

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) — The sand bar in the Arkansas River filled with flags, is now home to a man raising money for children. Tommy Covington is camping on Flag Island for three weeks, or until 30,000 dollars is raised for Cov's Kids. This organization mentors at-risk youth by improving their confidence through outdoor activities.
