Spa Con taking place in Hot Springs

HOT SPRINGS, Ark. (KATV) — Spa-Con 6.0 is ready to welcome fans of all forms of comics and pop culture to Hot Springs the weekend of Sept. 23 - 25.

Lori Petty will be a special celebrity guest for this year’s Spa-Con featured in films like ‘"Point Break," "A League of Their Own," and "Tank Girl."

The event will also feature a Stranger Things Hawkins van and Rodger Bumpass, who played Squidward from Spongebob among other celebrity guests.

Also featured are: Beau Billingsly (voice of Jet Black in Cowboy Bebop), Mark Rolston (Aliens, Lethal Weapon, Shawshank Redemption), and Ashlie Adkinson (Arkansas native, stage actor).

Channel 7's Elicia Dover spoke with a character artist Whitney Pollett about her career working for Disney and Nickelodeon and other studios. Pollett also drew her during the interview.
