Braised red cabbage

1 head of shredded red cabbage

1 cup red wine vinegar

1 cup chicken stock

1 diced white onion

1/2 # bacon

2 diced apples

S&P to change

In a large thick bottomed pan brown off the bacon till crispy then add the onions and saute till translucent, add cabbage, apples then all the liquid and simmer for about 45 min. Adjust seasoning and serve
