Rep. Crawford wins re-election for District 1

Republican Representative Rick Crawford has been elected to represent District One for Arkansas, according to Talk Business & Politics Roby Brock.

Rick Crawford graduated from Arkansas State University in 1996 with a degree in Agriculture Business and Economics after four years of service in the United States Army.

Crawford's professional career has largely focused on agriculture, both in agri-communications and general agri-business.

Crawford has served on a number of committees as well as co-founded multiple caucuses, including the Congressional Rice Caucus and the Congressional Chicken Caucus.

Rick and his wife live in Jonesboro with their two children.

He was running against democratic candidate Chintan Desai and Libertarian candidate Elvis Presley.

With 100 percent of the precincts reporting, Rick Crawford has 69 percent of the vote, Chintan Desai has 29 percent of the vote, and Elvis Presley has 2 percent of the vote.
