Medical college students receive white coats
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
Medical students at the Arkansas College of Osteopathic Medicine received their white coats Saturday, according to KATV's content partner KFSM.
The students receiving their symbolic white coats are first year medical students who still have several years before they start residency.
However, Saturday's event celebrated the beginning of that journey.
"So, I interviewed at a few med schools around the state and the facility is more compassionate, more loving and more caring than any school I've ever been to - med school, undergrad, anything like that," said student Jonathan Hunter. "They have an open door policy, so if you are struggling academically or personally or anything, they're always there to help. That's something you don't get out of most schools."
