LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Little Rock police nabbed one suspect and are looking for another in the early morning burglary of a middle school.
At 1:40 a.m. Wednesday, officers responded to Cloverdale Magnet Middle School for a burglar alarm.
As police were checking the area, two suspects exited through the northeast corner of the building, and police called out for them to stop.
One suspect, later identified as 21-year-old Xavier Candy, bolted back into the building but the other took off toward nearby apartments.
Police chased after the second suspect on foot but say they were unable to find him. However, police were able to arrest Candy as he was exiting another side of the building.
Candy was taken into custody for commercial burglary and theft of property.
Anyone with information on the second suspect is asked to contact police.
