Original Story

The Pine Bluff Police Department is investigating a shooting that has left two injured and two dead.

Police said that one of the victims was identified as 18-year-old Asharray Thomas from Pine Bluff and a 16-year-old male juvenile from Pine Bluff.

Authorities said both victims will be sent to the Arkansas State Crime Lab for an autopsy to establish the cause and manner of death.

The male juvenile's identity will not be released due to his age.

This is the 5th and 6th homicide of 2023 in Pine Bluff.

According to authorities, on Tuesday, close to 9:00 p.m. officers responded to the Sunset Village Apartments at 2611 W. 34th for a reported shooting in the parking lot.

Upon arrival, officers said they located three people in a grey car in the parking lot, with one female being shot.

She was transported by EASI Ambulance service to Jefferson Regional Medical Center.

The two others who had been shot were found in the back seat and pronounced dead at the scene by the Jefferson County Coroner's Office.

Authorities said another male who fled the scene was located a block away suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

There is no suspect information known to the public information officer at this time, according to police.
