1 injured in shooting near state fairgrounds in Little Rock

One person was injured in a shooting near the state fairgrounds Tuesday in Little Rock, police reported.

Department spokesman Lt. Michael Ford said the shooting occurred about 5:30 p.m. at 28th and Wolfe streets, just south of West Roosevelt Road. Ford said the person drove to West 7th and Marshall streets for help. The person was hospitalized in critical condition.

Police initially reported that two people had been shot. Ford later said just one person had been injured.

Further details weren't immediately available.

The shooting is in the fourth near the state fairgrounds since Saturday.
