2 killed after car doesn't stop at northeast Arkansas intersection

    Two people died after a driver failed to stop at a stop sign Friday in northeast Arkansas, state police reported.

    Ivan Puello, 21, was driving a 2012 Nissan Altima south on Arkansas 141 in the Beech Grove area north of Jonesboro. The vehicle approached a stop sign about 7:59 a.m. at Arkansas 34 but didn't stop, according to state police. It traveled into the path of westbound traffic and was hit by a 2011 Ford F-150.

    Puello and a 21-year-old passenger, Alexandria Snyder, both of Paragould, were killed.

    The Ford driver, Regina Cox, 53, of Paragould, was taken to St. Bernards Medical Center in Jonesboro.

    State police said conditions were clear and dry when the crash happened.
