Two suspects from Camden have been taken into custody in connection with the fatal shooting of a Pine Bluff pawn shop owner.

During a press conference Tuesday, authorities said Daryl Strickland and Rodney Henry, both 21-year-olds, were arrested at two different locations in Camden and are believed to be responsible for shooting and killing Wise Buck Pawn Shop owner Brandon McHan.

McHan was killed in an exchange of gunfire with two suspected robbers on Nov. 12. A second person injured in the shooting was hospitalized with injuries to his chin, abdomen and hand.

The Pine Bluff police chief said information was developed within the last 48 hours and a search warrant was conducted on a residence in Pine Bluff that led police to physical evidence, which was sent to the State Crime Lab. The preliminary return on the evidence gave authorities a break in the case and led to the identity and arrests of Strickland and Henry. After the two were arrested, information was obtained during interviews that supported the physical evidence police obtained to substantiate charges in the case, the chief continued.

Authorities said Strickland and Henry were the suspects pictured in surveillance footage authorities circulated after the murder.

They were booked into the Jefferson County jail for capital murder and criminal attempt of aggravated robbery.

“I know we’ve got the right guys, and that makes me and my family so happy," McHan's twin brother said. "It will allow us to sleep at night, and it will allow us justice for Brandon. We got it. We got it – we got justice for Brandon!”

A reward was being offered to anyone who could offer information leading to an arrest and conviction in the case.
