Little Rock police identified a 28-year-old man as the suspect in the city's 23rd homicide of the year.

Police located Christopher Nixon of Little Rock outside of a car in the parking lot of Windamere Townhouses and Apartments, located on Dreher Lane, just after 5 p.m. Tuesday. Authorities say Nixon had multiple gunshot wounds and was taken to UAMS, where he later died.

Two other victims, a 38-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man, were inside the car when the shooting occurred but they were not injured.

According to police, the suspects, described as three black males, fled in a dark-colored vehicle.

As the investigation continues, police are calling on anyone who might have witnessed part of the crime to speak up.

"Any little thing that they may think is insignificant might help us out in this investigation," said Lt. Michael Ford.
