Shooting leaves 2 teens dead, 1 injured in Pine Bluff
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
Police said a shooting left two teenagers dead and another person injured Thursday afternoon in Pine Bluff.
Department spokesman Lt. David De Foor said officers were called about 3:36 p.m. to Jefferson Regional Medical Center, where a 17-year-old boy and another male were being treated for gunshot wounds. De Foor said additional officers were called to the hospital because "there was a lot of emotion and a disturbance" involving in the injured males and several people who had driven the two to the hospital.
The teen died from his injuries at the hospital, according to police. The other male's injuries were not believe to be life-threatening.
Officers were searching for a crime scene when they found another 17-year-old boy who had been shot multiple times in a car at West 25th Avenue and South Fir Street, a residential area south of downtown. The teen died from his injuries.
Police had not named those involved in the shooting late Thursday. De Foor said there's a "very good possibility" that the killings are related, but detectives were still working to confirm that.
An investigation is ongoing.
