LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Arkansas State Police are investigating the shooting deaths of a husband and wife found dead on Friday, May 26.
The couple's bodies were found in their house at 351 Military Road in Rockport, Arkansas (Hot Spring County). A family member making a welfare check discovered the gruesome scene, according to police.
Investigators with the ASP Criminal Investigation Division suspect the deaths are the result of a murder-suicide.
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The body of a Missouri emergency room doctor who has been missing for more than a week has been found in northwest Arkansas, his brother told The Associated Press on Tuesday.
Dr. John Forsyth was last heard from in text messages around 7 a.m. on May 21. His brother, Richard Forsyth, said authorities called the family Tuesday night to say his brother was found deceased. He said he and other family members were waiting for more details from detectives.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Several Arkansas law enforcement agencies are engaged in a standoff with a suspect in Poinsett County that began on Friday.
According to Poinsett County Sheriff Kevin Molder, officers attempted to serve a search warrant and arrest a suspect at a home on Goad Lane in a rural part of Poinsett County at around 8 p.m. on Friday night.
The suspect--who is wanted for aggravated assault--did not respond to requests, leading to the standoff, the Sheriff's Office said in an interview with our content partner, Region 8 News.

LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — The Sherwood Police Department is asking the public for assistance in locating two suspects accused of robbing Academy Sports.
Authorities said on On May 13, 2023, at approximately 1:30 PM, a white female with gray hair, wearing a black and white striped shirt entered the store.
A black male wearing a plain white t-shirt and having a gray and white beard also entered the store thru the exit door.
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Hot Springs Police Department released information on their investigation into a missing 20-year-old on Monday.
According to the police, Amir Ellis was reported missing on May 17 at 9:25 p.m. and entered into the NCIC.
Interviews with friends and family started soon after the Criminal Investigations Division got the case.
GREENSBORO, N.C. (WKRC) — A North Carolina father served prison time for shaking his baby, causing permanent injuries. Now, 10 years later, he's accused of murdering his other child.
Police arrested 33-year-old Sterling Cummings Monday in connection with the May 2021 death of his son, three-month-old Waylon.
He was apparently babysitting while the boy's mother went out to get groceries. When she returned, she says, the baby had not been given the bottle she prepared and he was not breathing.
