Arkansas man arrested for Internet stalking of a child
AUGUSTA, Ark. (KATV) —
An Augusta man was arrested and accused of messaging someone he believed was a 14-year-old girl for the purposes of having sex.
According to the First Judicial District Drug Task Force, 27-year-old Leslie Pruitt, also known as "Lil Red", sent sexually graphic messages and photos to the profile and discussed meeting up for sex multiple times. Authorities said he also asked that the teen create a separate profile as a boy so he could message her without his girlfriend finding out.
The Drug Task Force said Augusta police arrested Pruitt, who was on active supervision with the Arkansas Department of Community Correction, over the weekend for Internet stalking of a child and said he admitted to messaging the profile.
He is set to have his first appearance in Woodruff County District Court on Monday.
Authorities said his arrest follows an investigation targeting online child predators.
