Armed men force entry, burglarize Little Rock apartment, man tells police
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
Authorities are investigating after a man says two armed men forced entry into his apartment late Wednesday night.
Officers were called out to Briarwood Apartments, located in the 800 block of S. Rodney Parham Road, just after 11:30 p.m. in reference to a burglary.
When police arrived on scene, they spoke with several people who were in the apartment when the incident occurred.
The victim who opened the door, Lamont Williams, 20, told police he went to the answer the door after hearing a knock. He then heard someone say "Someone is breaking into your car". When Williams opened the door a little wider, he said two black males pushed themselves inside.
According to the report, the suspects held Williams at gunpoint, hit him in the head with a firearm, and forced him into the closet.
Several smartphones, a television, and an unknown amount of money were taken, Williams says.
A window in Williams vehicle, a 2005 gray Chevy Impala, was also broken, however, he does not think anything was missing.
A surveillance video was installed inside Williams' apartment after a recent burglary, however, the footage was unavailable.
