LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) -- Little Rock Police are investigating an aggravated robbery that happened Thursday morning.

Around 11:30 a.m. Thursday a black male, described as 5’9” to 5’11”, slim build, and in his twenties or thirties, entered the “Game X Change” shop, located on 3412 S. University.

Surveillance video posted on LRPD’s Twitter shows the suspect, wearing a hoodie and what appears to be sweat pants with a white stripe, demand money from staff.

The manager of the store, who didn’t want to go on camera, tells Channel 7 the suspect showed that he had a gun on him during the time of the robbery.

“It puts that thought into your head: what if somebody were to rob me?” Victor Vides, another employee of the shop, who wasn’t one of the employees that was robbed, said.

Vides, who’s been working at Game X Change for about seven months now, isn’t even shocked that robberies are so common.

“It just goes to show you can get a gun or whatever and try to hold people up, but everybody’s as broke or if not worse than you are,” he explained.

Ironically, not much was in the cash register, according to Vides. He says the robbery “just wasn’t worth it”.

“Unfortunately [with] people of lesser means, it’s harder [for them] to see the bigger picture. You feel like everything’s against you, so people tend to resort to violence or crime to try to make ends meet,” Vides explained.

Now that Thursday’s scary situation is over with, Vides says he’s just glad his coworkers are okay.

“It’s just really not worth hurting or possibly hurting someone else just to make a few bucks,” he added.

Although staff couldn’t tell Channel 7 just how much money was in the cash register, they did say that the suspect made off with under $2,000 dollars and a Sims 4 game.
