Little Rock woman says she answered door, had gun pointed at her
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
A Little Rock woman said an armed teenager showed up at her front door early Sunday after a robbery occurred in the area, police reported.
Officers were called at 1:39 a.m. to an apartment complex at 6310 Colonel Glenn Road. Rita Newsome, 58, said a teenage boy had been beating on her door. When she opened the door, the boy pointed a black handgun at her, according to a police report. Newsome immediately closed and locked the door.
No injuries were reported.
A witness told police that the teen had robbed someone about 45 minutes before he showed up at Newsome's door, according to the report.
The teen is described as 5-feet-4 and 14 years old. He wore a white shirt and blue jeans.
