Attack outside Arkansas Walmart leads to man's arrest
MONTICELLO, Ark. (KATV) —
A 25-year-old Monticello man is facing charges following an attack at Walmart on Tuesday, our news partner Monticello Live reports.
According to Monticello Live, police were dispatched to the Walmart parking lot at approximately 11 p.m. and met the victim outside his vehicle in row 4. Authorities say the victim had a cut to his neck but did not know who the suspect was.
The victim was taken to a local hospital, was treated for his injuries and was released.
The news outlet reports witnesses on scene say they saw the suspect go to the victim's truck, open the door and walk into the store.
Officers used the witnesses' suspect description to find the alleged attacker, Christopher Barfield.
Barfield faces charges of criminal attempt to commit murder, aggravated assault and first-degree battery.
