Authorities: Child found dead following gas explosion at Logan County home

The Arkansas State Police Criminal Investigation Division is assisting in an investigation of a child who died following a gas explosion at a Paris home.

According to State Police, the Paris Police Dept. got a call of a loud noise near S. Elm St. around 4:26 a.m. and responded to find a house on fire.

A police officer and the homeowner entered the residence to carry four children out of the burning home.

State Police say three of the children were not injured, but one child was taken to the hospital and died.

Our content partner KHOG reports one adult inside the home at the time had warrants out for his arrest and was taken into custody.
