LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Police are investigating after thousands of dollars worth of electronics were taken in a burglary at a Little Rock church.
Officers were called at 10:32 a.m. Monday to The Mercy Church at 8705 Scott Hamilton Drive. Pastor Terrance Long, 44, said one of his parishioners told him that two suspicious men wearing hoodies had been walking around the church the previous night, according to a police report.
Long went inside the church with officers and found that three TVs, a laptop computer, a camera and an audio amplifier valued at $3,300 had been taken, according to the report. They also found that boxes of food had been ripped open, a fire extinguisher had been sprayed on the floor and three doors had been kicked in. An estimated $1,000 in damage was caused.
Officers reportedly found a broken window on the southeast side of the church. There were two chairs near the window with hand and foot prints on them.
Police said prints were also found on a refrigerator door handle.
An investigation is ongoing.
