Employee pepper-sprayed in robbery at Little Rock children's clothing store
LITTLE ROCK (KATV) —
An employee was pepper-sprayed in a robbery at a children's clothing store in Little Rock on Tuesday, police reported.
Officers were called at 7:35 p.m. to Justice at 17819 Chenal Parkway at the Promenade at Chenal shopping center. An employee, Tymara Carter, 28, said she'd asked a woman to put down several items of clothing the woman had picked up, according to a police report. The woman became angry and asked Carter why she was watching her.
The woman then pepper-sprayed Carter, took about $179 worth of clothes and fled in a gray 2002 Pontiac Grand Am, according to the report.
Police and medical personnel treated Carter's eyes at the scene.
Police identified the woman as a 21-year-old Little Rock resident who'd been involved in a separate robbery the previous day. Officers searched the area but made no arrests.
An investigation is ongoing.
