According to the report from Little Rock PD, police were called just before 2 p.m. about a shooting at the LA Fitness located in the 300 block of South University Ave. A responding officer met with the victim, Jarrod Ellison, at St. Vincent's Hospital.

Ellison told the officer he was shot by a man named Karl, later identified as Karl Ice, 35.

Officers also spoke with the victim's girlfriend, who was there to pick Ellison up from work as the shooting happened. She told officers a vehicle pulled up next to Ellison, with Ice getting out of the car and shooting at Ellison.

Ice fled the scene in an unknown location, but was later found by police at J.A. Fair High School. An officer seeing a handgun "in plain view" in the passenger side compartment of Ice's vehicle.

Police found that Ice had an active Pulaski County warrant. He arrested on that warrant, but no charges have been filed at this point in this case as police continue to investigate.
