First Orion adding jobs in North Little Rock
NORTH LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (KATV) —
Hundreds of jobs are coming to North Little Rock, thanks to First Orion Corporation. The technology-driven company plans to build its headquarters in the Argenta Plaza.
First Orion focuses on protecting people against scam phone calls by warning customers of the scams and blocking calls.
CEO Charles Morgan tells Channel 7 the company expects to have about 180 employees by the time it is up and running.
“It demonstrates that there are ways for young people looking for high paying technology-related jobs in Arkansas. We don’t have to move out of state,” Morgan said.
Construction on the roughly $10 million building should begin in April of next year. The goal is to be done around January 2019, according to Morgan.
He adds that the company plans to continue adding about 50 to 100 jobs a year thereafter.
