Congratulations to KATV's Elicia Dover and her husband Jeremy on the birth of their second child last Friday!

Lawson Alexander, born June 2, was 20 inches long and weighed about eight pounds.

Elicia tells us that their family is enjoying the new baby - especially 4-year-old big brother Eli.

Our Good Afternoon Arkansas host will be back in the anchor chair soon, but until then, we wish them all the best during this exciting moment in their lives.

Dover, a native of Bryant, joined KATV Channel 7 in 2013 and won a first-place Associated Press Award as a reporter.

Before her time here, she worked as a digital journalist at ABC News in New York. She spent 2012 on the presidential campaign trail reporting for ABC.

It was at ABC News that she won a prestigious Peabody Award, Edward R. Murrow Award, and was nominated for four national News and Documentary Emmy Awards.

Elicia is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln's College of Journalism and Mass Communication.

She lives in Sherwood with her growing family - along with their dog Bentley and cat Prince Harry.

At home, she loves to experiment with cooking in the kitchen and keeps a summer garden.

She has a deep appreciation for Arkansas' beautiful hiking trails and grew up exploring the Natural State's national parks.

In the fall, you'll find her cheering on her favorite football teams: the Bryant Hornets, the Hogs, and the Cornhuskers.
