Hope police identify homicide victim, still looking for suspect
HOPE (KATV) —
The Hope Police Department is still searching for a suspect Friday after a man was found dead Thursday afternoon.
When officers arrived at a home on the 600 block of North Walker Street at 4:30 p.m., they found a man with a gunshot wound to the chest lying in the yard.
The victim, identified as 24-year-old Tommy Hamilton, Jr., was transported to a local hospital where he later died.
Detectives are looking for suspect Courvoisier Trotter, 22, of Hope, who witnesses say left the scene driving a black four door Mazda MZ6. Police say Trotter wanted for first degree murder and should be considered armed and dangerous.
