A Hot Springs gun range owner is exploring a run for Arkansas governor.

On Tuesday, Republican Jan Morgan confirmed to KATV an exploratory committee called Meet the People was formed. Arkansas' next gubernatorial election is in 2018.

Morgan is a known Fox News contributor and was also at the center of a controversy in 2015 when she banned Muslims from her gun range.

On social media, Morgan further shared her thoughts on potentially running for governor.

My Arkansas friends, you know I'm always up front with you. I'm just going to lay this out there . We have a lot of problems in this state that need addressing. I thought since we have a trifecta, REPUBLICAN controlled House, Senate, and "Republican" Governor, that our problems would be addressed . Wrong . Four years, one term, and we are moving the wrong direction. It starts with our Governor, Asa Hutchinson, whose actions this first term are completely unacceptable.
