Escaped inmates captured, returned to Southwest Arkansas Community Correction Center

Inmates escape Southwest Arkansas Community Correction Center Monday Night. (ACC)

UPDATE (11/6):

The Arkansas Department of Correction has confirmed that both escaped inmates have been apprehended and returned to custody.

Justin Jordan and Sammy Tinsley were located sometime late Monday night.

Jordan and Tinsley were returned to custody at the Southwest Arkansas Community Correction Center in Texarkana.


ORIGINAL (11/5):

ACC and other law enforcement agencies are looking for two offenders who left the Southwest Arkansas Community Correction Center in Texarkana on Monday evening.

Officials say Justin Jordan, 30, and Sammy Tinsley, 19, were taking trash out as part of their regular job assignments as kitchen workers when they ran off.

A supervisor was with them at the time the incident occurred.

Jordan was convicted of drug possession August 3, 2018, in Miller county and was sentenced to five years. He is 5’11” tall, weighs 165 pounds and has brown hair and hazel eyes.

Tinsley, 19, was also convicted in Miller county. His crimes were breaking and entering and theft of property by credit card. He was sentenced to four years. His date of sentence was September 19, 2018.
