Jefferson County authorities and Arkansas State Police search for missing man

Jefferson County Sheriff's Office Criminal Investigation Division, Redfield Police Department, White Hall Police Department, and the Arkansas State Police searched the area of Old Warren Road for a 55-year-old man.

Family and friends of John Gordon Honeycutt say he was last seen at his home at 8011 Old Warren Rd. in Jefferson County around 6 p.m. on Jan. 6.

After trying to reach him multiple times, the family filed a missing person report.

Police say attempts to reach the man by phone have been unsuccessful.

According to a news release, deputies located Honeycutt's abandoned vehicle on Fabry Drive, 5.2 miles south of his home.

The man is described as a Caucasian male, who stands at 5'6" and weighs approximately 150 lbs.

He has blue eyes and brown hair. Officials say the missing man was last seen wearing a gray shirt and green sweat pants.
