A Little Rock woman whose home was damaged by gunfire early Friday told police the shots were likely fired as revenge for a homicide involving her son.

Officers were called at 2:38 a.m. to 9120 W. 35th St., where Latasha Oliver said she'd been lying in bed when a bullet went through her window, according to a police report. Police said the shot was one of several that hit her home and her Toyota Corolla.

Oliver, 36, told police she believes the shooter is someone known as "Lil Steve," according to the report. She said Lil Steve hast threatened to kill her and her family several times. Oliver said Lil Steve is seeking revenge because her oldest son is accused of killing Lil Steve's mother, according to the report.

Zereak Zernell Oliver, 18, was arrested July 16 in the killing of Regina Jackson. He's accused of fatally shooting Jackson, 46, at her Sherwood home.

The younger Oliver faces charges of first-degree murder, aggravated robbery and fleeing. Another teen arrested in the killing, Martieo Nash, 18, faces a charge of tampering with physical evidence. Police said the two led authorities on a vehicular chase after the slaying.

Police said the gunfire Friday caused no injuries. An investigation is ongoing.
