A man faces a charge of manslaughter in a deadly shooting Friday morning in Little Rock, police reported.

Patrick Bennett, 21, was arrested in the killing of Devan Sprawling, 20.

Bennett told police that he believed he was holding an air gun when he pulled the trigger and shot Sprawling in the head, according to an arrest report. Police said it happened about 2 a.m. at 2119 Fair Park Boulevard, a home in the central part of the city.

Two men took Sprawling to CHI St. Vincent Infirmary after the shooting, but Sprawling died from his injuries.

Police interviewed the two and obtained a search warrant for the home, according to a police report. They reportedly found drugs and determined that Bert Zinamon and Latrey Holloway, both 20, had tampered with evidence.

Zinamon and Holloway were charged with drug possession and tampering with evidence.

Bennett was being held in the Pulaski County jail Friday.
