A Little Rock man was reportedly hit with a vehicle and injured by a suspect he was in an argument with minutes prior to the aggravated assault.

Police were called to a pedestrian accident at a gas station on Mabelvale Pike at 1:34 p.m. Saturday.

When they arrived, rescue teams had Frankie Sweet, 50, sitting in a chair and were working on his leg.

Two witnesses said a red Dodge Ram drove very fast through the parking lot, hit Sweet as he was getting on his motorcycle and fled southbound on Mabelvale Pike.

A 30-year-old woman told police the suspect was in an argument with Sweet at her mother's residence prior to the accident, however, the suspect was not listed in the Pulaski County jail as of Monday at 4 p.m.

Sweet was taken to the hospital with apparent not life-threatening injuries.

The investigation into the case is ongoing.
