Police: Mother, son injured after shooting at Little Rock residence

UPDATE (11/10):

Police are investigating a shooting that injured a mother and son at a residence in Little Rock late Thursday evening.

Authorities said the incident occurred just after 9:00 p.m. at a residence in the 2600 block of West Lewis Street.

When officers arrived on scene, they found Sharon Harris, 59, and her 15-year-old son, each with a gunshot wound to the leg.

According to the police report, Harris was in another room of the home when she heard arguing. Moments later shots were fired toward the home before a car drove away.

LRPD says a man identified as Alex Bernard, 22, was taken into custody but later released.

Police are still looking for a man identified as Kenon Saine, 21, who they believe to have been at the home at the time of the shooting.

The Little Rock Police Department is on the scene of a shooting on West Lewis Street.

Police tell us the suspect is in custody and the victim suffered non-life threatening injuries.
