A Little Rock police officer was arrested Saturday morning after being found in a vehicle intoxicated.

According to a news release, officer, Paul Riley, 27, of Little Rock, was charged with DWI and was placed on administrative leave pending the outcome of an administrative investigation.

LRPD stated Riley was not on duty and is currently assigned to the extended leave unit to fulfill a military obligation.

Riley was found downtown after LRPD patrol officers received a call about an incident involving another officer, the release said.

Officers stated they found Riley passed out inside his vehicle, appearing to be intoxicated, and was taken into custody without incident, and transported to Pulaski County Regional Jail, where his blood alcohol level tested at .219, which is twice the legal limit.

He has been with the department since May 2023.
