LITTLE ROCK (KATV) — Two detention deputies at the Lonoke County Detention Center were arrested after being accused of inappropriate conduct with inmates.
A Facebook post from the Lonoke County Sheriff's Office on Thursday stated that Casey Whaley, 22, of Cabot, and Robert Godwin, 25, of England, were both charged with sexual assault first-degree and furnishing, possessing, or using prohibited articles.
An investigation began on Sept. 10 when investigators received information about Whaley and Godwin engaging in inappropriate conduct with inmates, according to the Sheriff's Office.
The post stated that both were held at different detention facilities and appeared in court on Wednesday, where the judge set bonds.
Whaley received a $50,000 bond, and Godwin received a $30,000 bond.
