A man wanted for questioning in a business burglary in northeast Arkansas led police on a high-speed pursuit Friday morning.

According to the Helena-West Helena Police Department, Officer Willister Black attempted to pull over a silver GMC Terrain driven by 29-year-old Reginald Adams at Plaza and S. 9th Streets.

Authorities say Adams, who was wanted for questioning in an EZ Pawn burglary, refused to stop and a high-speed chase began.

At one point, Adams attempted a left turn across a Highway 49 median and hit the right side of Officer Black's police car.

Instead of stopping, Adams continued across the median but was boxed in by other police units.

Authorities say Adams and Officer Black were both treated at the scene.

The wreck investigation is being handled by the Phillips County Sheriff's Department.

Adams faces possible charges of aggravated assault on an officer, careless and prohibited driving, failure to comply and possession of a controlled substance.
