Man shot in foot while at Little Rock barbecue

A shooting in Little Rock sent a 33-year-old man with a gunshot wound to the foot, according to a police report.

Officers met Antonio Alexander of North Little Rock at UAMS just before 4 a.m. Friday to take the shooting report. Officers said Alexander's right foot was bleeding but he was conscious and able to communicate with them.

According to the report, Alexander was attending a friend's barbecue at Towne Park Court when a silver car with tinted windows drove by and began firing shots, hitting him in the foot.

Alexander told police he did not have any enemies and did not know who would have wanted to shoot at him.

The report did not name any suspects, but the person or persons responsible could face a charge of first-degree battery.
