A man and woman were arrested last month after authorities said they held down a 5-year-old and raped her with a power tool in Arkansas.

According to the Logan County Sheriff's Office, 24-year-old Saria Galvan, and 26-year-old Andrew Giboney were both arrested and charged with rape of the girl in the southern part of the county.

The sheriff's office said in a Facebook post that a report was made last month regarding the supposed rape.

The victim was interviewed at the child safety center in Fort Smith by a forensic interviewer who is specifically trained to interview children the Facebook post said.

The center provided services for collecting evidence from the victim and a nurse at the center also collected evidence.

Authorities said evidence was also collected where the alleged rape took place.

The LCSO Criminal Investigation Division is working on the case.

"It is alleged that the suspects held down a five-year-old female victim and forcibly inserted the end of a power tool into her vagina," The sheriff's office said on social media. "This caused injury to the victim."

Both Galvan of Sallisaw, OK and Giboney of Booneville, AR left right after this happened and went to Oklahoma said the Sheriff's office.

Since they both fled to Oklahoma, investigators worked with our Prosecuting Attorney’s Office and obtained a warrant quickly to get the suspects back to Arkansas.

Authorities said the suspects were located in Oklahoma and returned to Arkansas and placed in the Logan County Detention Center.

Both Galvan and Giboney have a $100,000 bond each.

Authorities said Galvan is currently being held in the Franklin County Detention Center while Giboney is in their facility.
