New development 'Grove at Gateway Town Center' coming to Little Rock

The new development is highlighted in blue.

The Outlets of Little Rock and Bass Pro Shop have new neighbors after a private investor group, assisted by Colliers International, bought the more than 50 acres of land surrounding the shops.

According to a release from Amy Meins, Marketing & Communications Director for Colliers International, the investor group will take over the site known as Gateway Town Center, and the new development will be called "The Grove at Gateway Town Center."

The new development "will be lined with 500 trees illuminated year-round by more than a half million lights and feature live music venues, restaurants hotels and more," and there will be a "promenade" that will link the new development with the Outlets of Little Rock and Bass Pro Shop.

A Cavender's western wear outfitter has already opened on this site, and construction has already started on Arkansas' first Dave and Busters location in the new development.

Their "initial plans call for 10,000 square feet of retail and restaurant space" that will be done later in 2016. There will be more space added for hotels, other retailers, and other "destinations," with leasing and marketing of the development being handled by Colliers International, according to Meins' release.

"Our intent is to develop and build off of what Tommy created with the outlets and Bass Pro," Isaac Smith, Principal and Executive Vice President at Colliers International, said. "Tommy has done a masterful job paving the way for Gateway's success. We're honored to continue his legacy at this exciting new destination."
