A passenger in a Nissan Altima opened fire on another vehicle at a stop light Wednesday in Little Rock, police reported.

Officers were called at 11:35 p.m. to West 12th Street and South University Avenue. Four people said they were in a gray Jeep Cherokee stopped at the intersection when a black Nissan Altima pulled up beside them, according to a police report. A man in the backseat of the Altima reportedly rolled down his window and asked the Jeep occupants if they were "trying to get left," or race.

The Altima passenger then pulled out a gun and started shooting at them, according to the report. The Altima fled east on West 12th Street.

Police said the Jeep was hit several times. One person was injured by broken glass, but none were shot. Each of the four people in the vehicle reportedly declined to be taken to a hospital.

The shooter is described only as black. A more detailed description was not available.
