Pedestrian killed after driver swerved to miss a deer in Crawford County

A pedestrian died after being hit by a driver on Thursday evening in Crawford County reports KATV content partner 4029 News.

According to Sheriff Ron Brown, a man was driving a 1995 Toyota pickup on Old 88 Road and Kimes Tower Road around 6:40 p.m. when he swerved to miss a deer and struck 67-year old Richard Davis.

The sheriff wasn't able to say where Davis was walking when the vehicle hit him.

Davis' body was transported to the Arkansas State Crime Lab.
