Police called after suspected explosive found in Pine Bluff
PINE BLUFF (KATV) —
Pine Bluff police were called Sunday after a suspected explosive was found.
Officers responded about 9:30 a.m. to 2106 E. 6th St., the listed address of a shuttered drug rehab facility. According to authorities, the property owner had gone to check on the building and seen what appeared to be a bomb inside the doorway. The Jacksonville Air Force Base emergency ordinance detachment examined the torpedo-like device and determined it was safe.
Authorities learned that a second person who uses the building had been storing the device there, along with other military-style items. He reportedly said he plans to use the items for a museum exhibit.
No injuries were reported.
